1- want a puppy from us
2- are 100% in a position to take care of the pup

All our dogs and puppies are:

✅ UK Kennel Club Registered

✅ Genetic Health Tested (or clear by parents)

✅ BVA eye examined

At Hillsborough Staffies we know we’ve done a good job when we see our puppies thrive in their new homes.

For this to happen, there are three key ingredients:

1- Vetting the buyers to ensure their suitability for one of our pups

2- Doing everything we can to ensure the pups are as confident, playful, well nourished and as trainable as possible by the time their new families get them home. Starting with the mothers, we love them, spoil them with cuddles and massages, feed them well and of course, we health test them. We carefully select the stud dogs which are also health tested. As for the pups themselves, we understand how critical the first 8 weeks are for building confidence, learning bite inhibition, being handled, getting used to travelling in cars and so much more (see our Methods).

3- In a similar way to how video calls enable grandparents to watch their grandkids grow up, the same technology enables us to let the buyers feel involved in every step of their chosen puppy’s growth. Depending on the stage at which the buyer chooses their pup, they may witness the pregnancy, birth, eyes opening, first steps, first “barks”, first collar, first solid meal, first time outdoors, first squabble etc… By the time the pup goes to their new home the family is entirely in love with them as in some way they already “know” them.
